Therapeutic Ultrasound is used to treat a variety of musculoskeletal injuries
It works by increasing blood flow, reducing swelling and therefore pain and by gently massaging the muscles / tendons/ ligaments reduces strain and softens scar tissue in the injured area. Ultrasound is generally prescribed as a course of treatments, the duration of which is dependent upon the injury.
